Cleaning Instructions for a Medication Chamber:

Most medication chambers have only one moving part, the one-way valve. With repeated use, residue may accumulate inside the tube itself and around the valve.

This may eventually interfere with its effective use. We suggest cleaning the chamber about once a week or more often depending on your usage of the product.

  1. Remove the soft rubber-like end of the chamber that holds the metered-dose inhaler. Do not remove the mask (if one is attached).

  2. Soak the parts in basin filled with warm water using mild detergent to dislodge or loosen any residue

  3. Rinse the parts in basin filled with clean, warm water using a gentle motion. Lightly shake away excess water droplets and leave on clean surface to air dry.

  4. Re-assemble and check the chamber for operation, (make sure the chamber is completely dry before use.

  5. Do not disassemble the mouthpiece or the mask interface, as it may affect the overall reliability of the product. The only part to be removed during cleaning is the soft rubber end (MDI receptacle).
  6. Visually inspect the unit before and after cleaning to make sure that all parts are properly secured and the one way valve is functioning properly..
